Where are my E-mails?
You may have noticed your e-mails haven’t been sent the last couple nights. Today your auto-following may not have been functional. We are currently doing maintenance to improve the experience around the E-mail reports, auto-following, and auto-DMs. We have temporarily turned off the nightly e-mails because of this. We’re getting ready to turn back on the auto-following and auto-dms, so please sit tight and you’ll see it working better than ever very shortly! We’ll post another announcement tomorrow about the upgrades we’re making, and why they’re good for you. Your e-mails will be back tomorrow night, we promise!

If you had told us this three days ago – when you turned off the mails and DM's then this might have been OK. But I for one have no need of a service that will just suddnely stop working, and when my mails and DM's are ignored.
You just look incompetant.
I have now found a better service.

Nicola, I usually answer every e-mail we receive at
contact@socialtoo.comwithin 1 day. I answer them all personally.
Unfortunately I get too many
DMs to respond to each and every Twitter DM, which is why we have the
contact link on our site in plain view. I certainly try to answer every one
I can though! I'm a one-man operation at the moment, with over 10,000 users
to support and ensure are satisfied, but I take that satisfaction very
seriously.
I still argue we are one of the most accurate, stable, and feature-rich
services out there. If I can ever convince you to come back I am more than
happy to keep you satisfied. I sincerely hope you come back to us!

Well, I'm sure you mean well but putting yourself in the shoes of your users might help.
You SHOULD have posted a warning on your MEMBER'S LOGIN PAGE.
I DID USE your Contact link and there was no reply from you for 2 full days. Also, I didn't even know you had a blog, and had I seen the link at the bottom of the page I wouldn't have thought to go there for answers about a TECHNICAL PROBLEM that I don't even know if it's just me or every one of your members.
So MY SUGGESTION: put a warning on your MEMBER'S pages when you do this kind of stuff and PLEASE WARN US IN ADVANCE.
Don't expect people to GUESS they should maybe visit your blog to know that something is wrong. Also, the link to your blog appears only at the BOTTOM of our pages. If you expect us to go read it, put it in a more accessible place. And finally, RSS feeds are not for everyone. I have a dial-up connection (like 50% of people, mind you, because living in the country has that kind of price) so forget RSS for us.
Hope next time you will do a better job of managing this kind of situation.
Have a great day.

Marie, I appreciate your advice. We'll try to make that more clear next
time.

Nicola, don't you think you are being a bit too harsh. It's a free service to you isn't it?
